ANNUAL FRIENDS OF THE ELDERLY EVENT -2019

The Prophet (SAW) said ” Part of glorifying Allah is honouring the grey haired Muslim” – Narrated by Abu Dawood, 4843; classed as hasan by al- Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood, 4053.

The annual friends of the elderly event is an amalgamation of the elderly in all their glory and wisdom all under one roof, it is a celebration and a chance to give back to the very elders in our community.

Together with many other dynamic organisations, the initiative support the needs and concerns of the elderly irrespective of social standings, color or race.

Over 1300 friends of the elderly are hosted at NMJ islamic Centre in Morningside, Durban.

This year the Caring Sisters Network were given the task of  providing the goodie bags for each individual, including the packing and sorting of every item to be included.

These goodie bags are filled with essential items, catering to the needs of the recipient, which is received with much warmth, love and appreciation.
